Purpose: The Tremont Museum and Historical Society began in 1985 for the purpose of collecting and preserving historical artifacts and information of the area. We also find and collect any material which may help establish or illustrate the history of the Tremont area.

Meeting Dates and Times: Third Tuesday of January, March, May, September, and November, at 7:00 PM except January, which is a potluck that starts at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held at the Tremont Community Center, 216 S. Sampson St. in Tremont.

Membership Levels:
Single - $10

Family - $15

Life Membership - $150 per person

Contributions to the organization are tax deductible and qualify for matching funds from employers who provide them.


You are encouraged to:

1. Join the Tremont Museum and Historical Society.

2. Pay your dues and send extra money as a donation.

3. Volunteer to work at the museum.

4. Purchase one or more of the items for sale.

5. Attend the meetings.

6. Write an article for the newsletter.

7. Donate historical items to the museum.
